Toluca maintained their 100 per cent start to the Mexican Apertura campaign on Sunday with a 2-1 victory at Unam Pumas. Carlos Rodriguez's penalty just before the hour mark proved to be the winner after Juan Carlos Cacho's 12th-minute opener for the visitors had been cancelled out by Luis Garcia. The triumph moved Toluca on to 12 points from four games - three points clear of second-placed Leon. Elsewhere, Cruz Azul climbed to fourth with a 1-0 win at 10-man Puebla. Mariano Pavone grabbed the decisive goal eight minutes from time, with the hosts having been a man down since the 32nd-minute dismissal of Jesus Chavez. Finally, Guadalajara picked up their second point of the season with a 1-1 draw against Morelia - despite playing for the last 20 minutes a man down. Mauricio Romero put Morelia ahead in the 34th minute and Guadalajara's hopes of getting back into the game looked to have diminished when Rafael Marquez Lugo saw red in the 70th minute, but Xavier Baez had other ideas and nicked an equaliser nine minutes from time.
