The ball-juggling Beatle thrills the girls

George Best was renowned for wowing fans with his mercurial skills and ladies with his good looks – and in the above picture he is doing both! Known as ‘The Fifth Beatle’, Best dated a series of Miss Worlds during a career in which he inspired Manchester United to two league titles and a European Cup. Taken in October 1969, when he was the reigning Ballon d’Or holder, the photo shows the Northern Irishman performing keep-ups as he trains a ladies team for a charity match. And judging by the smiles on the girls’ faces, they were certainly impressed. Only they will know whether it was by Best’s skill or his looks! From : Fifa
