Speedway star Richardson killed in Poland

Britain's Lee Richardson, a former world junior champion, was killed in a speedway accident in the Polish city of Wroclaw, local media reported. The 33-year-old, who had competed in Poland for the last 13 years, was riding for the Marma Rzeszow club against Sparta Wroclaw when he fell off his machine on Sunday. He died later in a Wroclaw hospital. Richardson was world junior champion in 1999.
