Former Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan is to take over at relegated Biarritz in the French second division for next season, the southwest side confirmed on Thursday. The 55-year-old O'Sullivan enjoyed success with the Irish national side between 2001 and 2008 winning three triple crowns and was in charge of the United States during the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand. He had been expected to take over as backs coach of Irish province Munster during the summer, but has decided instead to try and revive the fortunes of fallen giants Biarritz. He will be the first non-Frenchman to be head coach at the club of France great Serge Blanco, who were relegated from the elite Top 14 after a horrendous campaign and will play in the second division next season.
