River Plate picked up their first victory of the new Argentinian Apertura season with a 2-0 triumph at Estudiantes. Having lost their opener 2-1 at home to Belgrano last weekend, River responded superbly and Rogelio Funes' second-half brace secured their first points of the campaign. Quilmes were denied a second straight win as a late equaliser from substitute Angel Vildozo earned All Boys a 1-1 home draw, cancelling out Martin Cauteruccio's 23rd-minute opener. Also on Saturday, Belgrano Cordoba and San Lorenzo battled out a goalless draw, the visitors' cause not helped by the 49th-minute dismissal of Augusto Alvarez. From : Fifa
