Red Sox put Ross on DL with foot injury

Boston Red Sox outfielder Cody Ross is out of the lineup until further notice with a broken foot bone, the team said Monday. Ross broke the navicular bone in his left foot Friday during Boston's 6-4 loss to Philadelphia. He sustained the fracture when he when fouled a pitch off his foot. The outfielder, who who signed a one-year, $3 million free agent deal with the Red Sox in January, is hitting .271 with eight homers and 28 RBI in 37 games for Boston this season.
