New York Red Bulls missed out on the chance to go top of the Eastern Conference after needing a late equaliser to claim a 2-2 draw at DC United. Joel Lindpere gave New York the lead, but they were trailing to goals from Nick DeLeon and Dwayne De Rosario before Wilman Conde snatched a point two minutes from time. New England Revolution and Chivas USA also played out an exciting draw, with the teams sharing six goals in the first 47 minutes. But the home side will be furious after blowing a 3-0 lead after 22 minutes thanks to a double from Saer Sene either side of an own goal from Rauwshan McKenzie. Shalrie Joseph scored twice before half-time to make it 3-2 and Miller Bolanos grabbed the equaliser just two minutes into a second half which surprisingly did not feature any more goals. The only team to win on Wednesday night were Columbus Crew, who secured a last-gasp win at Philadelphia Union despite being reduced to ten men. Josh Williams went from hero to villain for Columbus, getting sent off on 68 minutes having previously cancelled out Carlos Valdes' opening goal. But the visitors still managed to snatch victory in the last minute through Eddie Gaven. From : Fifa
