Dan Petrescu has been appointed as coach of Russian Premier League side Dinamo Moscow. Reports said that the 44-year-old Romanian would shortly sign a three-year contract with Dinamo, the only Russian league top-flight side never to have been relegated. Petrescu stepped down from his post at Kuban Krasnodar earlier this week and will start his work with Dinamo on 20 August. Petrescu took over Kuban in December 2009, winning promotion to the Russian Premier League in the next year. In 2010, Petrescu was named Romania's Coach of the Year by his national football federation. FIFA
