The King of Morocco, Mohamed VI, Monday, sent a congratulation telegraph to Al Maghreb Fasy Football Club for winning the 8th African Con-federal Championship on Sunday after the team defeated its African opponent with by penalty shoot-outs. The King of Morocco said "this is a great achievement and crowning to real efforts through which your team recorded its strong existence on the African football pitch on both domestic and regional levels". He also commended the team for gaining this regional title that was added to the golden record of achievements on both the national team and the teams constituting the Moroccan League. The king also praised all the footballers of the team in his telegraph that was published in the Moroccan News agency describing them as  respected footballers and part of a genuine team.
