Frederic Michalak became France's all-time leading points scorer on Saturday when his second penalty against England in a World Cup warm-up took him to 383.
It allowed the 32-year-old to pass the previous best of Christophe Lamaison's 380 from his career which stretched from 1996-2001.
Michalak, playing in his 72nd international, began his career in November 2001 and is desperate to get the nod as starting fly-half from coach Philippe Saint-Andre at the World Cup which starts next month.
Michalak has played in three Six Nations Grand Slam winning sides in 2002, 2004 and 2010, and featured in the 2003 and 2007 World Cups.
