Jordan Spieth takes a three-shot lead into the second round of the Masters at Augusta National on Friday. Here are some pointers to look out for in the second round:
-- The first-round leader/co-leader has gone on to win the Masters 15 times in the previous 78 editions. Dating to 1985, Trevor Immelman (2008) is the only player to carry the first-round lead/co-lead on to victory
-- The last seven winners of the Masters have opened with a round in the 60s. Since 2000, the only eventual winner of the Masters to shoot an over-par opening round is Tiger Woods, who had a 74 in 2005
-- Spieth, aged 21 years, 8 months and 16 days on Sunday, would become the second youngest winner of the Masters behind Tiger Woods (1997/ 21 years, 3 months, 14 days)
-- Ernie Els shot a five-under 67 in round one. It is his only opening round score in the 60s in his 21st career Masters start. Els twice finished as runner-up at the Masters (2000 and 2004)
-- At age 65, Tom Watson would become the oldest player to make the cut at the Masters. The current record is held by Tommy Aaron in 2000 at age 63. Watson opened with a one-under 71
-- Bubba Watson, who opened with a 71, is trying to become the fourth player to win consecutive Masters after Jack Nicklaus (1965, 1966), Nick Faldo (1989, 1990) and Tiger Woods (2001, 2002)
-- Tiger Woods, who opened with a 73, has only once missed the cut in the Masters in 19 previous appearances - in 1996 when he was still an amateur
