Russia's Natalia Ishchenko swept her third gold medal of the Kazan world aquatic championships on Thursday with victory alongside Svetlana Romashina in the synchronised swimming duet free routine.
Ishchenko's victory alongside Romashina came just 24 hours after the 29-year-old became the most decorated synchronised swimmer of all time by winning the individual freestyle and she now has 19 world championship gold medals to her name.
Her achievement is all the more impressive as she continues to storm back in her first major competition since giving birth.
Ishchenko has completed her treble of golds in Kazan after also winning gold alongside Romashina in the duet technical routine last Sunday in the Kazan Arena.
The Russian pair struck gold in the duet free routine with a winning tally of 98.2 points ahead of Chinese pair Huang Xuechen and Sun Wenyan, who took silver with 95.9 pts.
The Ukraine team of Lolita Ananasova and Anna Voloshyna took bronze with 93.6 pts.
