Giovanni Trapattoni dismisses link to Dnipropetrovsk

Trapattoni told the Irish Times that he had "not heard anything" and "would not be interested" in moving to the club currently coached by Juande Ramos. Dnipro are bankrolled by millionaire Igor Kolomoyski and are keen to challenge the likes of Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk at the elite level of the Ukrainian game. Ireland's national football federation, the FAI has also issued a statement on the matter: 'Giovanni Trapattoni is committed to remain as Ireland manager for the 2014 World Cup and that has not changed.' The Italian tactician, who turns 73 on St Patrick's Day, has been linked with several jobs since taking the reins of the Boys in Green in 2008. After leading Ireland to Euro 2012 he recently extended his contract for a further two years and has stated to coach at the next World Cup in Brazil would be a "dream come true".
