Gerets joins Qatar's Lekhwiya

Belgian Eric Gerets has agreed a deal to take over as coach of Qatari champions Lekhwiya in place of Algerian Djamel Belmadi. "Lekhwiya have signed a contract with Gerets as coach," club spokesman Adnane Al-Ali told AFP. "Gerets arrived in Doha on Monday and will take the reins from tomorrow (Tuesday)."
