Four Manchester United players have made the cut for England's Euro 2012 squad. Phil Jones, Ashley Young, Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney will all compete in Poland and Ukraine after being named in new manager Roy Hodgson's 23-man party for the big summer tournament. There is no place for the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley and Chris Smalling, who has been ruled out through injury. Contrary to some speculation, Paul Scholes is not involved either as England take on France, Sweden and Ukraine in the finals when they begin life after Fabio Capello. Rooney is suspended for the opening two games but will return for the clash with co-hosts Ukraine, while Welbeck is obviously a major contender to stand in for his Reds team-mate in the opening two fixtures. Both Jones and Welbeck were impressive in the Under-21 European Championship last year while Smalling would surely have joined them had he not been ruled out with a groin injury. Young is in hot form for his country, having scored five times since the start of 2011 in only give six starts with two further appearances as a substitute. Rooney, is of course, the leading man for England and will be expected to shine on the big stage. Full squad: Joe Hart (Manchester City), Rob Green (West Ham), John Ruddy (Norwich); Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Phil Jones (United), Joleon Lescott (Manchester City), John Terry (Chelsea); Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Scott Parker (Tottenham), Ashley Young (United), James Milner (Manchester City); Wayne Rooney (United), Danny Welbeck (United), Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham).
