England flyhalf Toby Flood was one of 21 Toulouse players who began pre-season training on Monday for the upcoming Top 14 campaign.
The 28-year-old, who joined the four-time European champions after six years with the Leicester Tigers, was put through his paces by veteran coach Guy Noves.
"I can't wait, it's going to be fun, it's my first day and everything's new but I'm expecting a good year," said the enthusiastic Flood.
"I don't want to set goals, I just want to be part of a winning team, if that means winning a championship or European Cup, that would be super. Me, I just want to play."
When asked why he is one of the first players to report to camp at his new club, Flood said he just wanted to get going.
"I wanted to get involved as soon as possible and to train in the best possible way. I want to be part of the club and meet the people as soon as possible. I don't like to be on my own, so it was important to come."
He also said coming to France for his first taste of Top 14 action was an easy decision.
"I always thought to myself that I would like to play in France so when Toulouse made me an offer, I thought that it was an opportunity that I couldn't pass by, to have the chance to play at one of the biggest French clubs, if not the biggest, and I couldn't say no.
"It's a club similar to Leicester with a strong history, and a strong fan base. It's a fantastic championship and I can really test myself," continued Flood, who has won 60 caps for England, scoring over 300 points.
Coach Noves, knows there is a lot of expectation on the club this season after coming up short in the last campaign.
"We're going to start with a month of serious physical preparation with a lot of running and muscle work," said Noves at the team training centre.
"We're returning to training with the motivation to do well and to do better having learned from the past how to improve our collective performance."
"We have to call everything into question in the club from bottom to top," he continued in reference to a disappointing campaign that saw them eliminated in the Top 14 quarter-finals, their worst finish in 20 years.
Flood was the only new signing to take part in training while Alexis Palisson, Corey Flynn, Imanol Harinordoquy and Neemia Tialata are set to report on July 23.
The club have two friendly matches planned ahead of the opening weekend of the season on August 15 and 16.
They will play newly-crowned European and French champions Toulon on August 1 before taking on Bordeaux-Begles on August 8.
