England's Tommy Fleetwood had Wentworth rocking with his first ever albatross and only the third in the history of the European PGA Championship in the third round on Saturday.
The 24-year-old from Southport sent the crowd wild as he holed a long-range iron off the fairway of the par five fourth hole.
He made a mockery of the 552-yard hole to set his third round alight, and Fleetwood carried it on with an eagle at the 12th in his sparkling 65.
It put him on 11 under and closing on the leaders.
It was the the 92nd albatross on the European Tour and Fleetwood insisted: "I hit a really good drive, then we had 198 to the pin with little down breeze and a little off the right. It was pretty much a normal 7-iron and I hit it perfect.
"It spun left and went in. That's the first one I've ever had. You just dream of things like that happening and the crowd made such a noise when it went in the hole.
"To do it at such a huge tournament as this one makes it even more special.
"Once you do that you have to calm down and just play normally. I played ok but not great. I have a couple of shots away
"I am in there with a chance on the final day but I will need to get off to a good start and see how things go."
