The Fifa delegation wrapped up their inspection of venues in the UAE which will host the Under-17 World Cup. The 2013 Fifa Under-17 World Cup will be held in the UAE from October 17 to November 8 and has 24 teams from six confederations participating. The UAE had won the official bid ahead of Ghana. As the host country, the UAE Under-17 team gain automatic qualification. The delegation finished up with a tour of the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi before returning. The delegation, led by Inaki Alvarez, inspected venues in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, Sharjah, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. They were pleased with the facilities but gave a few recommendations to improve the facilities further more. The delegation visited the Emirates Stadium in Ras Al Khaimah, the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, the Sharjah Stadium in Al Sharjah. The delegation also toured Fujairah, Al Orouba and Ittihad Kalba Sports Clubs and wrapped up their tour with visits to Al Ahli’s Rashid Stadium in Dubai and Al Wahda’s Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The delegation were in the UAE from July 11 to 17 and will again make an inspection in September. The delegation also included Constantin, Sarah Kandwin and Felix Cambiasso and they had a tour of the stadiums where they inspected the pitch, floodlights, dressing rooms, players entry and exit corridor, medical areas, giant electronic screens, media facilities, mixed zone, seating, seating for VIPs and parking in and around the stadium.
