Italy's De Rossi has hand surgery

Italy midfielder Daniele De Rossi has surgery on a fracture to his right hand on Wednesday, his club AS Roma said. The problem, which that De Rossi suffered in AS Roma's last game of the Serie A season, Sunday's 3-2 win over Cesena, is not expected to affect his ability to be fit for Euro 2012, which kicks off on June 8. The 28-year-old has made 71 international appearances and was part of Italy's 2006 World Cup winning team.
