English Premier League giants Chelsea are in fresh talks with Wigan Athletic officials to discuss the signing of their Nigerian winger Victor Moses. Wigan chairman Dave Whelan claimed earlier last month that he had rejected a bid from Chelsea for Moses because it offered less than the £10 million (12.7-million-euro, $15.6-million) valuation of the 21-year-old. Recent reports claimed that Whelan has agreed to reduce his asking price for the player to £8.5million especially as the Nigerian international wants to leave. At the same time, European champions, Chelsea are keen to complete a deal for the highly-rated former Crystal Palace player whose contract runs until the end of coming season. "I have spoken to Chelsea's chief executive and they are easy to deal with," Whelan was quoted as saying by Skysports on Tuesday. "We have told them the price and they will come back and agree it or not. We would much prefer the player to sign a new contract and stay but he wants to go to Chelsea and it's a good club so we cannot stand in his way." (ahram)
