Cricket Ireland president Jimmy Joyce has stepped down from the position for family reasons. He is to be replaced for the rest of the year by Arthur Vincent, who was president in 2009, with Robin Walsh taking up the role in 2013. "I am aware of the great difficulty that Jimmy Joyce had in making this decision and he can be assured that he has the utmost respect and support of everyone involved with Cricket Ireland," Cricket Ireland chairman Ross McCollum said as he announced the change. "Arthur Vincent has agreed to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Jimmy's term and our sincere thanks and gratitude must go to him for taking on what has become a very time-consuming role at such short notice."
