Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera hit the 400th home run of his Major League Baseball career to help the Tigers to a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Cabrera's blast Saturday made him the all-time leader among Venezuelan-born players as he passed the 399 career homers of compatriot Andres Galarraga.
The Tigers first baseman belted a 3-2 pitch from Tyler Lyons over the wall in straightaway center field in the first inning to give Detroit a 1-0 lead.
The ball landed in almost the same spot that his 399th career homer landed on Friday.
Cabrera moved into a tie with Adrian Beltre for 52nd on MLB's all-time home run list.
