riton Jenson Button will start Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix from 20th and last on the grid after the race stewards evaluated several penalties that also affected Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.
Button not only missed qualifying because of an engine failure on his McLaren during Saturday's practice, but also had further power unit elements changed.
He starts last, but will also have to make a 'drive-through' during the race as a second additional penalty.
Dutch teenager Verstappen, who was handed a five-place penalty for his collision with Frenchman Romain Grosjean's Lotus in Monaco, was also given a 10-place drop for changing his car's internal combustion engine on Friday.
After qualifying 12th, he was unable to take a 15-place penalty, but will start 19th and has to take a 10-seconds penalty at his first pit stop.
Vettel would have started 15th following his poor qualifying for Ferrari, and the application of a penalty for Verstappen, was handed a five-place penalty for overtaking Spaniard Roberto Merhi's Manor under a red flag in practice.
After all the reshuffling for penalties, he starts 18th on the grid with only Verstappen and Button behind him.
As always, a race of much incident was expected and the introduction of a Safety Car.
In the last 17 Canadian races, 11 have seen a Safety Car intervention.
The 1999 and 2007 races both had four Safety Car periods while in 2011 the Safety Car came out a record six times and was in use for 32 of the 70 laps.
