Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghafar asserted that policemen who breathed their last in defense of Egypt and its people would be a motive for their colleagues t go on in their fight against terrorism and its evil powers.

The minister's remarks were made during his meeting with police commanders and officers in Giza Security Directorate to review the current security conditions.

The meeting started with the minister's calling on the attendees to observe a minute of silence for the souls of the police martyrs.

During the meeting, the minister praised the performance of the security bodies over their progress in standing against several terrorist elements through preemptive attacks.

He also voiced his appreciation for the alert of the security elements and their challenge to the terrorist elements which are seeking to destabilize the country.
