London - Arabstoday
Serbia centre-back Neven Subotic is expected to miss the rest of the year after the Borussia Dortmund defender suffered a fractured cheek-bone in the German champions' 5-1 win over Wolfsburg today. The 22-year-old had to be replaced at half-time after receiving an elbow in his face from Wolfsburg's Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos. Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp said the fracture is expected to keep Subotic out for the next six weeks and with the German league set for its annual winter break on 18 December, it effectively ends Subotic's year. Having beaten Olympiacos in midweek in the UEFA Champions League, Dortmund are third in Group F and face Arsenal in London on 23 November, then host French side Marseille at home on 6 December.
