Boca toast Superclásico success

Emanuel Gigliotti scored the only goal to send the fans home unhappy as Boca Juniors defeated River Plate 1-0 in the Superclásico. Only home fans were allowed in El Monumental for security reasons and Gigliotti silenced them with a goal in the 23rd minute. River hit the post twice as they attempted to get back into the game but they could not break through as Boca moved to within four points of Apertura leaders Newell's Old Boys. The home side sit seventh in the table, five points behind their rivals. In Sunday's other game, a Diego Vera penalty was enough to give Atletico Rafaela a 1-0 win over Racing Club. Source: fifa.com
