The finals of the 12-round badminton World Superseries will be played in Malaysia in December, returning to the country after three years, the sport's governing body said Thursday. The season-ending tournament, which carries $500,000 in prize money, will be held in Kuala Lumpur from December 11-15, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) said in a statement. It will bring together the top eight in five categories: men's and women's singles and doubles and mixed doubles, the BWF said. "We anticipate some great finals in Malaysia, and we look forward to the best performers on the Superseries circuit giving their best," BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund said. The 12-event tour resumed last month with tournaments in China and Japan. The Denmark Open is taking place this week, followed by competitions in France, Hong Kong and China. Last year's finals were held in China. Source: AFP
