American skier Lindsey Vonn collected her record 12th World Cup race victory and fifth downhill win of the season Wednesday in Austria. Vonn, who wrapped up the season's downhill title two weeks ago and who has also sealed the overall championship, won Wednesday's downhill by more than a full second. Even though she started 22nd on a warm day, Vonn fought through what she described as "tough conditions" for a time of 1 minute, 46.56 seconds. France's Marion Rolland was second in 1:47.48. Slovak skier Tina Maze took third in 1:47.78. It was the record-breaking 12th race victory this season for Vonn, who had 11 wins in 2009. She's won the downhill five consecutive years and the overall title four times. The win pushed her downhill point total to 690. Only Tina Weirather, from Liechtenstein, is within 300 points of Vonn. Weirather, who was 0.02 second behind Maze for a fourth-place finish Wednesday, has 400 points in the discipline. Vonn has accumulated 1,908 points overall -- Maze is second with 1,346 -- and said she's shooting for the record total of 2,000 point set by Hermann Maier. She has three races left this season.
