Sebastien Ogier has won Rally Sweden to give VW its first victory in the modern era on a round of the World Rally Championship. Ogier, who had led since early on Friday morning, held his nerve on Sunday’s final six stages to eventually finish 41.8 seconds clear of fellow Frenchman Sebastien Loeb who, after a brush with a snowbank on the penultimate Finnskogen stage, chose to back off. Mads Ostberg meanwhile completes the podium, followed by Jari-Matti Latvala and Thierry Neuville. Juho Hanninen is sixth, with Martin Prokop, Henning Solberg, Evgeny Novikov and WRC2 class winner, Yazeed Al-Rajhi in positions 7 through to 10. Source: QNA
