The hardwood floor used by the NBA Memphis Grizzlies to practice when they were based in Vancouver has been posted for sale on the Craigslist website. The franchise left the city for Memphis 11 years ago. Michael Marti, who recently purchased the Richmond, Ontario, practice facility, wants to convert the building into a laser tag arena, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Tuesday. "When we looked at the floor it was difficult for us to make a decision to just rip it out. I knew that it must have value to someone," Marti said. He placed the 437-square-foot floor on Craigslist with an asking price of $13,000. "We picked an arbitrary number of $13,000. Again, it's really not a matter of making money, although if we can make a profit we are in business and we'd be happy to do so," he said. Marti said the floor still bears NBA logos and the Vancouver Grizzlies' insignia in the center. "Perfect for any fan of the Grizzlies when they were around or even an NBA collector!" Marti wrote on the Craigslist ad.
