Turkish women's handball team beats Algeria

Turkey defeated Algeria 25-23 in their first match in women's handball played in Group A in the 17th Mediterranean Games in the southern Turkish province of Adana. In the other Group A match on Saturday, Serbia toppled Italy 38-27. In Group B games, Croatia defeated Macedonia 29-26 and Slovenia upset Tunisia 35-29. Source: Anadolu Agency
