South Korea defeated host country Australia 1-0 to top Group A of the Asian Footbal Cup 2015. Lee Jung-hyub scored the only goal in the 32nd minute in Brisbane but was enough to seal the top spot for the South Korean team.
South Korea, which total 9 points from three straight wins, will take on Uzbekistan or Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, runners-up Australia will play China which top Group B, totaling six points from two victories and one loss. In another match, Oman defeated Kuwait 1-0 in Group A at Hunter Stadium in Newcastle. A 69th-minute header from Abdul Aziz Al-Maqbali was enough to seal the final victory for Oman
