Vijay Singh shot a 6-under-par 66 Friday and has a one-stroke lead halfway through the BMW Championship, the third event in the PGA's FedEx Cup playoff. Singh is at 13-under 131 after 36 holes. He is just ahead of Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Ryan Moore. Singh won the FedEx Cup in 2008, which was also the last year he claims a PGA Tour title. Moore matched Singh's 66 and there were only three rounds better Friday. Among those was an 8-under 64 by Bill Haas and 65s by Lee Westwood and Padraig Harrington. Westwood's 7-under round pulled him into a tie for fifth with Bo Van Pelt at 11-under. Haas and Harrington are in a group at 9-under. McIlroy, coming off a win at last week's Deutsche Bank Championship, and Woods were paired together for Thursday and Friday. McIlroy, who had one bogey Thursday, fought through a round Friday that included four bogeys while Woods charged in with three birdies in his final four holes. They each had birdies on the final hole to keep within one of Singh. Singh had four consecutive birdies in a middle stretch of his second round to grab the lead.
