Left tackle Duane Brown has received a contract extension with the Houston Texans, the team announced Thursday. No terms were detailed, but The Houston Chronicle said Brown had one year left on his initial contract and was to make $2.08 million this year. Brown, 26, helped Houston rack up a franchise record nearly 2,500 rushing yards in 2011 and tied for the lowest sacks allowed in the AFC with two. The Richmond, Va., native and Virginia Tech product has started in 60 games since 2008. "We are thrilled to have solidified our offensive line with this extension for Duane," said Rick Smith, Texans executive vice president of football operations and general manager.
