Samuel Sanchez from the Euskatel team on Saturday won the sixth and penultimate stage of the Tour of Catalonia between Sant Fruitos de Bages and Badalona, breaking away in the last kilometre. The Spanish rider crossed the line first ahead of Australia's Allan Davis (GreenEdge) and France's Julien Simon (SAU). Switzerland's Michael Albasini (GreenEdge) remains leader in the overall classification going into the final stage. Saturday's stage was delayed for 38 minutes after a police motorcycle outrider in charge of clearing the route was in collision with a car at the 70 km mark. Both the rider and the car driver were airlifted to hospital.
