Kenyan-based Kiwi Zane Robertson was fourth at today's Mt SAC relays meeting in Los Angeles, recording an excellent 3 minutes 56.13 seconds in his first race over the mile distance. His time was good enough to see him become the 37th New Zealander to run under four minutes for the distance. It also places the former Hamilton athlete eighth equal on the New Zealand all-time mile ranking list, ahead of the likes of Dick Quax, John Davies and Murray Halberg. Zane's twin brother Jake, who represented New Zealand at last year's world championships in Korea where he made the final of the 5000m, finished ninth in 4:01.82 - also a personal best. Former Wanganui athlete Lucy Van Dalen was fourth in the invitation 5000m, recording a time of 15:23.54 in her debut over the distance and in the process becoming the fifth fastest ever New Zealander woman.
