Milos Raonic captured two of three tiebreakers Sunday in edging Janko Tipsarevic in the title match at the Aircel Chennai Open tennis tournament in India. Raonic, picking up his second ATP title, defeated Tipsarevic 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-4) in a match that took 3 hours, 13 minutes to complete. Tipsarevic, seeded No. 1 in the event, fell to 2-6 in ATP finals. Neither player managed a break in the match, with Tipsarevic saving nine break points and Raonic saving four. Raonic, however, won two points off Tipsarevic's serve in pulling out to a 5-0 lead in the third-set tiebreaker. Tipsarevic got back within 4-6 but Raonic finished the win on his third match point, taking the championship off Tipsarevic's serve. Raonic blasted 35 aces in the match, nearly half of the 76 he managed over four sets this in Chennai. He won 78 percent of the points on serve. He collected $71,900 for the win and Tipsarevic settled for the runner-up check of $37,860.
