A emotional Martin St. Louis scored a goal and was chosen first star as the New York Rangers beat Pittsburgh 3-1 to force game seven in their NHL playoff series. Right winger St. Louis and Carl Hagelin scored within a three-minute span early in the game Sunday, while Henrik Lundqvist made 36 saves, as the Rangers levelled the second round series with the Penguins at 3-3. St. Louis was playing with a heavy heart on Mother's Day as his mom, France, passed away on Thursday. He flew his father and sister from their home in Montreal to New York to watch Sunday's game at Madison Square Garden. "My family was here," St. Louis said. "It has been a tough day for everyone. My dad is going through a tough time. My teammates have also helped me through a tough time." Derick Brassard scored the other goal for the Rangers, who have erased a 3-1 series deficit and can advance to the conference finals with a win on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Brandon Sutter provided the only goal for the Penguins while goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 26 shots in the loss. Source: AFP
