Wild-card entrant Yulia Putintseva rallied for the only straight-set win in Monday's play at the e-Boks Open tennis tournament in Denmark. Putintseva dropped the first four games of the match before turning things around for a 6-4, 7-5 win over Karen Barbat. Barbat, from Denmark, rode the early emotion to a pair of service breaks and the lead but Putintseva ended up winning more than half the points off Barbat's serve in the set. Putintseva, who had 11 aces and seven doubles faults, was good on less than half of her first serves but won 77 percent of the points when that serve was in. Timea Babos posted a 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 decision over Kimiko Date-Krumm with a pair of breaks in each the second and third sets. Alberta Brianti claimed a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 win over Kristina Barrois.
