A third consecutive round of National Hockey League labor talks produced no agreement Thursday, but another session of negotiations was set for Friday. Representatives for the owners and the players' union declined to discuss any aspects of the discussions, which have been the most extensive talks in three weeks. "There is still a lot of work to do," NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said without giving further details. The fate of the 2012-13 NHL season could rest on the current round of talks. All games through Nov. 30 have been canceled, as has the Winter Classic game between Toronto and Detroit that was to have been held New Year's Day in Ann Arbor, Mich. Players were locked out by ownership when the old collective bargaining agreement expired Sept. 15.
