Kevin Durant scored 42 points Friday and ignited a huge second quarter that lifted Oklahoma City to a 116-101 demolition of the Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles lost its sixth straight game, the Lakers' longest skid in six years. Durant came through in a showdown with the Lakers' Kobe Bryant, hitting 16-of-25 shots from the field while grabbing eight rebounds and handing out five assists. The Thunder scored 39 points in the second period, took a 16-point halftime lead and sailed through the final two periods. It was Oklahoma City's 28th win of the year, tying the Thunder with San Antonio and the Los Angeles Clippers for most in the NBA. Russell Westbrook added 27 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists for Oklahoma City, which held the Lakers to 39 percent shooting.
