A 26-point performance from Rudy Gay helped break the game open in the second half Wednesday and boost Memphis to a 110-92 victory over Golden State. Gay is having the best season of his six-year career with an 18-point average. He made 10-of-20 from the field against the Warriors in what was the fifth straight win for Memphis. The Grizzlies steadily pulled away in the second half after owning a five-point advantage at the break. Marreese Speights added 18 points for Memphis and Marc Gasol had 17. Memphis remained three games behind San Antonio in the race for the Southwest Division title. Monta Ellis and Klay Thompson both had 16 points for the Warriors. Memphis hit 52 percent of its attempts from the field and missed only two of its 21 free-throw tries.
