Patrick Patterson heated up down the stretch Monday, scoring 14 of his 24 points late in the Houston Rockets' 113-106 overtime win over Sacramento. The Rockets were trailing by 16 points in the fourth quarter but Patterson helped rally them in the closing minutes of regulation and then added a key basket in overtime. Luis Scola added 18 points and 14 rebounds while Courtney Lee and Chandler Parsons chipped in with 16 points each for the Rockets. Goran Dragic put in 14 and distributed 10 assists before sustaining an apparent ankle injury in the extra frame. Newly signed 12-year NBA veteran Earl Boykins sank four key free-throws en route to 10 points and five assists in his first game with the Rockets, who won for the third time in four contests. Sacramento got a career-high 38 points and 14 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins. Marcus Thornton added 27 points for the Kings.
