French international lock Lionel Nallet is set to sign a one-year contract extension at current club Racing Metro with the option of a further year, a source close to the player told AFP on Thursday. The 35-year-old, capped 70 times by France, had been approached by several clubs including Lyon, but has agreed to stay with Racing, the source added. Nallet, whose existing deal was due to expire next summer, joined Racing in 2009 from Castres, having also previously played for Bourgoin. His decision to stay put could persuade teammate Sebastien Chabal to follow suit and sign a new deal at Racing. Nallet captained France for a time between 2008 and 2009 and shone during Les Bleus' run to the final of this year's World Cup in New Zealand.
