Matt Kenseth grabbed the lead with 49 laps left and held off Martin Truex Jr. down the stretch to win Sunday's crash-filled Sprint Cup race at Kansas Speedway. Kenseth notched his third victory of the season and second in the Chase for the Sprint Cup series after emerging in front following one of a season-record 14 cautions. He then went on to turn back Truex's challenge and crossed the finish line with 0.5 seconds to spare. Third place went to Paul Menard, followed by pole-sitter Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart, who shook off an early-race pit-road speeding penalty and a later spinout. Chase points leader Brad Keselowski finished in eighth, maintaining a seven-point edge over ninth-place finisher Jimmie Johnson. Denny Hamlin was 20 points out after Sunday's 13th-place result.
