Kirland - UPI

A judge dismissed charges against former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens following an altercation with his fiancee, soccer star Hope Solo. Stevens, 33, and Solo, 31, were married Tuesday, a day after Stevens was arrested by Seattle police at Solo's Kirkland, Wash., home. Officers said Solo's brother, Marcus, had a black eye and Solo herself had a contusion on her arm. Stevens also allegedly had blood on his face and shirt, and was found in a bedroom where officers said signs of a physical struggle were present, police said. Solo said the trouble came when several unknown people showed up at a party and caused the trouble, but The Seattle Times reported her brother gave conflicting and vague reports to officers before Solo told him to "shut up." Stevens, who has been arrested numerous times since his time as a standout tight end at the University of Washington, was the unfair target of police making assumptions based on his record, his attorney Todd Maybrown said. A King County Court judge agreed, dismissing the charges. Solo is a two-time Olympian and goalkeeper on the U.S. Women's World Cup team. She was also a contestant on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars." Stevens has been out of football since 2010, when he was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
