Denny Hamlin won his second straight Sprint Cup victory Sunday, beating Jeff Gordon in a two-lap shootout in the AdvoCare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Hamlin squeaked by Gordon by 0.378 seconds, wresting a likely win from Martin Truex Jr., whose lead was lost when Jamie McMurray wrecked on the 320nd lap, causing the night's fourth caution. The win for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver over Gordon also kept teammate Kyle Busch's status as the second provisional wild card in the Chase for the Sprint Cup intact. Brad Keselowski placed third, while Truex and Kevin Harvick rounded out the Top 5.
