University of Minnesota head football Coach Jerry Kill is in "excellent health" following a postgame seizure, team officials said Sunday. Kill was hospitalized Saturday after suffering a seizure following the Golden Gophers' loss to Northwestern, a statement released by team physician Dr. Pat Smith indicated. The coach, who has a history of seizures, was examined in his private office at TCF Bank Stadium before being hospitalized as a precaution. "Coach Kill was discharged from the hospital this morning," Smith said. "He was evaluated yesterday and this morning and all tests confirm that he remains in excellent health. "His only concern is his team and staff, and he is excited to resume his normal coaching duties as Minnesota prepares for Wisconsin this week. He plans to be back in the office (Monday)." Kill suffered an on-field seizure last year in a game against New Mexico State but was able to return to the sidelines the following week.
