Malaysia's dream to book a ticket to the 2014 World Cup dimmed when they were thrashed 6-0 Thursday night by Germany in the semifinal of the World Hockey League Championship (WHLC) in Malaysia's southern city of Johor Baharu. The Malaysian team under head coach Paul Revingthon was outplayed by the Germans who were ranked number one in the world. The Malaysian team who were in third position of Group B failed to reach to the top three of the championship and had to work harder to win the Asian Cup Hockey Championship in Malaysia's nothern city of Ipoh in August if they want to see action in the Hague next year.
