A fourth consecutive day of negotiations again failed to end the NHL lockout Friday, and no further talks were immediately scheduled. Commissioner Gary Bettman said, however, the league's bargaining team was ready to meet again any time the players' union wanted to do so. Union chief Donald Fehr did not answer questions after Friday's session ended, saying only that he and the players "had things to consider." The 2012-13 NHL season is in jeopardy with all games through November having already been canceled. "I don't have a whole lot to tell you other than we met for the fourth consecutive day and we are waiting for the players to see when they will be ready to meet again," Bettman said. "It's always better to be together and talking when there is something to talk about. But I'm not going to get into specifics. I don't want to go into the details of what takes place in the room because I don't think that's good for the process. "I don't want to raise or lower expectations. I won't be happy until we get to the end results."
